You start yelling at automated phone services when they can’t recognize the words you are saying.
” I said customer service!” CUSTOMER SERVICE!”…
You will rue the day automated phone lady, RUE. THE. DAY!
Worry looks around, sorry looks back, and faith looks up.
A friend will know by the sound of your voice, by the look on your face, by the way you walk, by the things you do, exactly what kind of day you’re having.
When you start to know someone, all their physical characteristics start to disappear. You begin to dwell in their energy, recognize the scent of their skin. You see only the essence of the person, not the shell. That’s why you can’t fall in love with beauty. You can lust after it, be infatuated by it, want to own it. You can love it with your eyes and your body but not your heart. And that’s why, when you really connect with a person’s inner self, any physical imperfections disappear, become irrelevant.
Right now I want a word that describes the feeling that you get—a cold sick feeling, deep down inside—when you know something is happening that will change you, and you don’t want it to, but you can’t stop it. And you know, for the first time, for the very first time, that there will now be a before and an after, a was and a will be. And that you will never again quite be the same person you were.
